About the event
LOTS OF LAUGHTER IN ASHBY–DE–LA-ZOUCH
Funhouse Comedy Club brings another line-up of top comedians to the Lyric Rooms, Ashby-de-la-Zouch on Thursday 5th October. What better way to spend a night out with friends, work colleagues or family than to chow-down on some great homecooked food and laugh until your socks fall off!.
Comery & Curry
Last month our curry sold out AGAIN, with just about enough to go around, so this time, there will be be more than plenty, as some of our guests wanted seconds!!
Thai Green Chicken Curry with sticky jasmine rice, accompanied with a roasted garlic and coriander naan bread.
Or our equally popular vegetarian option: Thai Vegetable Curry with sticky jasmine rice, accompanied with a roasted garlic and coriander naan bread.
For your pudding:
Homemade Yummy Fruit Crumble with Custard.
The Comedians:
Topping the bill is comedian, actor and TV presenter Terry Alderton who has appeared on Live at the Apollo’, ‘Michael McIntyre's Comedy Roadshow’ and ‘Eastenders’, to name but a few. With his stunningly acute impressions, observations and a hyperactive delivery, stand-up performer Terry Alderton is loved by comics and fans alike.
Opening the night will be the jaunty and engaging Danny Ward, winner of ‘Amused Moose Laughter Award People’s Choice’ at the Edinburgh Festival 2013.
Entertaining the crowds with his wonderful observations and amusingly sharp comments, his laid-back style and extraordinary structure of words are a breath of fresh air.
Also appearing will be multi-award winning ‘Kiwi’ Sully O’Sullivan. He won his first national award less than 12 months after his first attempt at stand-up and has been acknowledged as a highlight of the New Zealand International Comedy Festival by The NZ Herald and a highlight of the Glasgow International Comedy Festival by The Scotsman. Enthusiastically self-assured, his sharp ire and amusing playfulness draws the audience into his world, where they are happy to stay.
Completing the line-up is is the likeable Dave Wilder with his well delivered, one-liners.
Compere for the night will be the cheery and chatty Spiky Mike.
