COMEDY COMPETITION COMES TO ASHBY-DE-LA-ZOUCH

Funhouse Comedy Club brings a Super Gong Competition to the Lyric Rooms on Friday April 25th.

10 of the best rising stars on the circuit go head-to-head for a £100 prize, but after they have been on stage, 5 audience judges with red and green cards decide whether they stay or go! If they survive 10 minutes then they make it to the final at the end of the night, where each finalist does another 60 seconds before the whole audience picks a winner.

It's a highly entertaining show. Acts including Josh Pugh and Scott Bennett played their first ever gigs on one of these nights and a previous winner was James Acaster, so you could well be seeing a future superstar.

The curry is served with rice, naan, and onion bhaji, £9.50, and there is always a dessert option at £4.50.

Ice creams served during the first interval at £3.50.
