Ashby Funhouse Comedy & Curry Night

Funhouse Comedy is back at the Lyric Rooms, Ashby-de-la-Zouch on Thursday November 6th for another great night of laughter.

Topping the bill is the intelligent, controversially witty, hip and silly Markus Birdman, who got to semis of last year's ‘Britain’s Got Talent’. Regarded by many in the know as one of the best circuit acts in the country, he has toured internationally and had highly acclaimed shows at the Edinburgh Festival. His dandyish onstage confidence, versatility and infectious nature result in a truly absorbing performance.

Opening the night will be the affable Ben Norris who has appeared on TV’s ‘Never Mind the Buzzcocks’ and ‘Mock the Week’ as well as being the voice on campaigns for Carling and Emirates. Once when he was the warm-up man for ‘Mock the Week’ he had to stand in for Frankie Boyle who was rushed to hospital. A natural comedian, his sharp mind-set and supply of clever lines keep his audiences totally absorbed.

Also appearing will be the witty and eloquent Ant Dewson, with his musical comedy feast and rhyming riot.

Completing the line-up is Ava Da Costa Maia with her amusing tales about her personal disasters and dilemmas.

Compere for the night will be the chatty and cheerful Spiky Mike.

The curry is served with rice, naan, and onion bhaji, £9.50, and there is always a dessert option at £4.50.

Ice creams served during the first interval at £3.50.
