Ashby Funhouse Comedy & Curry Night

LAUGHTER IN ASHBY–DE–LA-ZOUCH

Funhouse Comedy Club brings another line-up of top comedians to the Lyric Rooms, Ashby-de-la-Zouch on Thursday December 7th.

Topping the bill is Spaniard/Welshman Ignacio Lopez, who has appeared on ‘Live at The Apollo’, ‘Have I Got News For You’ and has performed for the Wales football squad and opened for James Dean Bradfield of Manic Street Preachers; with his unique brand of sarcastic observations and witty lines. He gives his audience a taste of what it's like to be the outsider, explaining cultural differences with hilarious results.

Opening the night will be writer, actor and comedian Barry Castagnola who has written for the likes of BBC’s ‘Ask Rhod Gilbert’, as well as creating characters for Dom Joly’s ITV show, ‘Fool Britannia’. His self-derision and anecdotes about his life cut to the chase, striking a chord with his audiences and his amiable persona never fails to appeal. 

Also appearing is writer and comedian Mary Bourke with her friendly banter and deadpan sarcasm.

Completing the line-up will be the likeable and talented Patrick Carmody with his wonderful personal stories.

Compere for the night is the chatty and energetic Spiky Mike.

Comedy Curry:

Our home made curries are always very popular and also give you the night off from doing the dishes!

- Succulent chicken Katsu curry served with sticky jasmine rice and served alongside naan bread

- Delicious veggie curry served with fluffy basmati rice and naan bread

- Desserts and ice cream available

Curries are only 7.50 & the desserts are just 4.50.

7.15pm doors. 8pm start.

Food available 7.15pm-7.45pm
